From the practice
- Eye examinations and fitting glasses and contact lenses.
- Certified in orthokeratology.
- Years of advising customers face to face on choosing lenses.
That is where Vision Experience comes from.
Brașov · OptometristApps made by an optometrist, for the people behind the counter.
I am Petruț Nicolae, an optometrist in Brașov, Romania, with more than ten years of practice in medical optics. Every app on this site started from a problem I had myself, in the practice or on the shop floor, that no existing app solved simply.

Where the apps come from.
Three places I have worked in every day, and where Vision Experience, Easy Timesheet and Vantage were born.
From the shop floor
- Store manager in medical optics: the team, day-to-day operations, stock and suppliers.
- Training new staff.
- Experience leading retail sales teams and tracking performance indicators.
That is where Easy Timesheet and Vantage come from.
From the technical side
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optometry specialisation.
- Master’s in Advanced Mechatronic Systems in Industry and Medicine.
- PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering, researching metrology platforms for contact lenses.
- Certified programmer since high school, with a certification in database design.
That is why the apps are built the way they are: simple, fast and offline.
Passing on what I have learned.
I give talks to future professionals in the field about what optometry looks like in practice: the person in front of you, their questions, and how to explain clearly what they are getting. The apps here come from the same place: making a good profession simpler for the people who practise it.
